Take the time to find out what your customers really want, by giving them a survey or asking them directly. This will enable you to focus your marketing efforts and promote the benefits that are most meaningful to your customers. In addition, by surveying your current clients, you show that you care about their opinion, and can thus garner even more business from them. In fact, the economic slow down may actually hold some benefits, as it gives you the time you need to truly focus on customer needs. When times are prosperous, you may not have the energy to gather feedback.
